Obituary

Willie Dale Nance of Bethany, Oklahoma, passed away on January 4, 2022 at the age of 91. "Dale" was born in Carnegie, Oklahoma on May 13, 1930, to James F. and Josie Nance. After graduating high school, Dale enlisted in the U.S. Air Force where he served for four years as a radar operator. He received the medal of good conduct and was honorably discharged in 1952. In 1953, he married Daisy Gilcrease of Oney, Oklahoma. Dale worked as a purchasing agent for the federal government for over 30 years providing a comfortable life for his wife and five children and retired in 1985. Dales hobbies included landscape oil painting and playing the guitar. Dale was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Merrill and DeLon. He is survived by his wife, Daisy, of 68 years; five children: Alan and wife Sally, Rita and husband Gary, Pam and husband Tom, Kevin, Shelly and husband Larry; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Earl Dean; and two sisters, Betty Pritchard and Shirley Martin. Viewing will be Friday, 9am-8pm, with family present from 5-7pm at Mercer-Adams. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 8, 2:00pm at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment in Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to SPCA or the pet charity of your choice. .
