Obituary

Cynthia "Cindy" Diane Day Botchlet, 65, of Bethany, OK, passed away July 24, 2021 after a tough battle with cancer. She was born in Chickasha, OK on January 21, 1956 to M. Duane and Virginia L. Day. Cindy grew up in Stillwater, Durant and El Reno before moving to Anadarko where she graduated from high school in 1974. In 1977, she received her cosmetology license from Oklahoma State Beauty College. During her career, Cindy spent time working for a road construction company. She then moved to California to work for a cousin in a healthcare staffing company. Later, she moved back to Oklahoma and has worked as a cosmetologist for over 32 years. Cindy was preceded in death by her parents; husband Richard "Rick" Botchlet; paternal grandparents, Ida and Bill Day; maternal grandparents, J.A. and Ellen McAdoo and Oma and Jack Barnes. She is survived by her sister, Sandy (Alan) Derichsweiler; brother, Jim Day; nephew, Greg (Kelly) Derichsweiler and family; niece, Dyan (Jeff) Post and family; niece, Lori (Lupe) Hernandez and family, niece, Kala Derichsweiler and family; niece, Jamie (Jesus) Martinez and family; nephew, J.D. (Angela) Day and family; stepdaughter, Amie Botchlet Gilmore and family; stepson, Ricky (Jenn) Botchlet and family; sister-in-law, Pam (Mike) Smith and family; brother-in-law, Terry (Robin) Botchlet and family; and many other relatives and friends. Viewing will be Wednesday 9am-8pm with family present from 6-8pm at Mercer-Adams. Graveside services will be Thursday, July 29, 10:00am in Resurrection Memorial Cemetery. .
