Curtis B. Hendricks, Sr. was born July 8, 1918, near Board Camp, AR and died July 11, 2010 in Oklahoma City, OK.
He married Belle Ledbetter of Duncan, OK in 1940, sharing a life together for 70 years this month. They had three sons: Curtis Hendricks married to Mimi Hendricks of Oklahoma City, Allen Hendricks married to Vicki Hendricks of Shawnee, and Dwight Hendricks of Edmond; grandchildren Lori, Lisa, Allen, Cindy, David and Kevin; and seven great-grandchildren.
He enlisted in the US Army at the age of 18. He was a soldier when WWII broke out and served in Africa, Sicily and Italy. He was awarded the Bronze Star, Silver Star with oak leaf cluster, the French Gallantry Cross, and the Purple Heart, for combat in Italy.
He retired after service from the founding of CMI Corp. in Oklahoma City. He was a faithful member of Piedmont Church of the Nazarene, holding many church positions serving those he loved.
Services will be held at 2:00pm, Wed., July 14, 2010 at Piedmont Church of the Nazarene with interment in Mathewson Cemetery, Piedmont, OK.
