Obituary

Connie Loreece Cason, 86, was born October 1, 1938 and went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. She was born in Plain Dealing, Louisiana, to R.D. and Carlyn Cason.

She was raised in a Christian home in rural "Mott" Louisiana, and accepted Jesus as her personal Savior as a teenager. She served the Lord faithfully all of her life. She graduated from Plain Dealing High School, where she played the coronet in the band, was on the basketball team, and sang in the school choir. She had a beautiful soprano voice and ranked high in state competitions.

Connie was a stay-at-home mom when her children were in elementary school and entered the working world in healthcare when they were a little older. She was deeply committed to her work and served in a variety of roles. She worked the front desk at Western Oaks Medical Clinic for several doctors, and later in a chiropractic office as a Chiropractic Assistant. She also served as the Office Manager for a gastroenterologist for nine years. In October of 2000, she discovered her true calling and became a Certified Reflexologist. She was devoted to sharing a holistic approach to health and natural remedies with her clients. She had a beautiful office in Oklahoma City and later set up a therapy room in her home, where she helped literally hundreds of clients manage their pain over the years. She even hosted her own radio talk show, sharing her wealth of knowledge about homeopathic medicine and natural remedies for good health. Her gift and passion for helping people went beyond relieving physical pain—she also had an extraordinary ability to offer emotional support and healing.

Connie's greatest passion in life was her unwavering love for Jesus and it was her deep desire to be a consistent example of Him to her family. Her world was centered around her family and her church, and she poured herself into both with grace and devotion. When she and her family moved to Oklahoma City, Lakeside Assembly didn't have an active Missionettes program, so she took it upon herself to start and nurture this girls' ministry. She taught Sunday School classes, served diligently in Women's Ministries, and later became involved in Senior Adult Ministries. She always sang in the choir and was a faithful participant in the church's missions outreaches, sharing her love for God with anyone she met. Connie treasured her Sunday School class at The Bridge, where she formed lasting friendships with people who became like family to her.

She was a constant example of Christ's love, and her influence touched the hearts and lives of so many.

Connie leaves behind a remarkable legacy—one of faith, love, and service—and her impact will be felt for generations. With her whole heart, she would echo the words of this song: "Oh, may all who come behind us find us faithful."

Connie was preceded in death by her father, R.D. Cason; mother, Carlyn Cason; and brother, Billy Cason. She is survived by her three children, daughter, Bev, and husband Steve; daughter, Rhonda; son, David, and wife, April; grandchildren, Kellie, and husband, Derrick; Keith, and wife, Ashlie; Katie, and Andrew; great grandchildren, Mason, Eden and Harper.

The family would like to thank Mercy Hospice for the wonderful care she received in her final weeks of life.
