Chief Master Sergeant Larry M. Boshers (Bo) USAF Retired, was born in Lonoke, AR on November 28, 1949. He passed from this life into eternity on April 14, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jones Phillip Boshers, Sr., and Jennie Beatrice (Faughn) Boshers, 4 brothers, Donald, Douglas, Loyce and Royce, 3 sisters, Aldah McGowan, Inas Neuhaus and Patricia Wright. He is survived by his wife, Doris, of Oklahoma City, 1 daughter, Pamela McCall of Oklahoma City, 1 son, Larry M. Boshers, Jr, (Bo) and wife, Denise of Bakersfield, CA, 2 brothers, Sidney Boshers and wife Cathy of Rochester, WA and Jones Phillip Boshers, Jr. and wife, Carol of Waldorf, MD, 2 sisters, Sharon Fichtenberg and husband Dr. Hans Fichtenberg of Tulsa, OK and Leota Schlessure of Little Rock, AR, 3 granddaughters, Samantha Crawford, Morgan McCall and Meredith Boshers, 1 grandson, Jake Boshers and 1 great grandson, Victor Bierly Crawford, III (Wick), nieces, nephews, many friends and softball buddies. Bo served in the US Air Force from November 27, 1968 through October 31, 1995. His military decorations include: Air Force Achievement Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal with 1 oak leaf cluster, Meritorious Service Medal with 4 oak leaf clusters, Air Force Training Ribbon, Air Force Overseas Long Tour Ribbon, National Defense Service medal with 1 oak leaf cluster, Air Force Longevity Service Award with 5 oak leaf clusters, NCO Professional Military Education Ribbon with 2 oak leaf clusters, Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon/Rifle, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with 4 oak leaf clusters, Air Force Organizational Excellence Award, Air Force Good Conduct Medal with 7 oak leaf clusters. Bo served August 2, 1990 to October 31, 1995 in support of Operation Desert Shield/Storm/Calm. Bo worked for FAA from September 18, 1995 until his death. During his tenure with the Federal Aviation Administration the team he was a member of was awarded two awards: Televisions equilavent to the Academy Award was awarded to Airman Education for its "Stress in Aviation" video. The Aerospace Medical Education Division was awarded the AAM office of the year award. Memorial Service will be held at 2pm, Friday, May 1, 2015, at Mercer-Adams Chapel with Military Honors held following the service.
