Clyde Lloyd Doc Atwater, 95, died March 18, 2010 in Jones, OK. He was born Oct. 20, 1914 in Chapel Hill, NC, the son of Sam and Lillian (Lloyd) Atwater. He was a WWII Army Veteran, a member of the Westwood Masonic Lodge No. 512 A.F. & A.M. He was a retired chiropractor, having owned the Atwater & Swanda Clinic in OKC. He was devoted to his patients, was an avid bird hunter, and loved his cabin on Lake Eufaula. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Ann Frye, and first wife Linnie. Survivors include his wife Helen Williams; daughter Carol Strain and husband Jim; sister-in-law, niece, and nephews from Colorado; and 6 grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday, March 21, noon 9pm at Mercer-Adams. Funeral service will be Monday, March 22, 2:00pm at the Jones Assembly of God Church, Jones, OK with burial following in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
