Obituary

Claude Lee Long was born in Oklahoma City to William and Claudia Long on November 17, 1938. He went to be with Jesus on November 26, 2012. He married the love of his life, Ruby Jane Amburn, whom he met at Falls Creek, on October 10, 1960. He proudly served his country with the US Army National Guard in the 45th Infantry, and then worked as an Oil Field Manager. He faithfully attended Chisholm Heights Baptist Church and served as a department director in Adult ministries. He was a family man, loved spending time with his grandchildren, and enjoyed OU football. Claude was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Ruby; daughter Cathey and Bryce Perkins; daughter Christy and Curtis Russell; daughter Cynthia and Byron Barrett; son Chad Long; brother Chris and Linda Long; and grandchildren Chris and Angel Greenhaw, Bryce Perkins, Cody and Jennifer Greenhaw, Blayze and Jenna Perkins, Chelsey Greenhaw, Brittany Perkins and Melanie Long. Viewing will be Wednesday, November 28, 9am-9pm, with the family present from 6-8pm at Mercer-Adams. Funeral services will be Thursday, November 29, 1:00pm at Chisholm Heights Baptist Church, Mustang, with interment in Rose Hill Burial Park.
