Obituary

Doug was born August 9, 1927, in Wetumka, Oklahoma, to Ruby Lucas and Clarence Yarholar. He attended school in Wetumka and Tulsa. He retired after 38 years with the US Post Office as a clerk, supervisor, and customer servi ce representative. He was a lifelong OSU fan and loved all sports. He loved coaching little league baseball and Satellite football. He bowled, golfed, danced, and played softball as long as he was able. He was a member of Elks #417 Lodge and the Young Mens Club. He was predeceased by his parents, sisters Peggy and Rita, and a nephew Tommy. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Gayle; a son, Doug and wife Vickie and their children Douglas and his wife April and daughter Lauren; daughters Donna and husband Tim and their son Michael, Mari and husband Danny and their daughters Jessica and Emily; and five great-grandchildren: Baylee, Brianna, Savanah, Joe and Audra; and numerous nieces and nephews as well as a host of friends. A celebration of Dougs life will be Monday, July 18, 2011 at 10:30am at Mercer-Adams Chapel, Bethany.
