Christopher Thomas Young was born in Oklahoma City on Nov. 26, 1985 and passed away unexpectedly Sun., Oct. 23, 2016. He Attended Putnam City schools his entire life, graduating PC Original in 2004. An avid runner since youth, he was carted all over the state and continued running on the varsity track team through HS, as the fastest long distance runner in cross country and track during his Sr. year. He also played baseball and soccer all through his youth. After graduating, he attended "OU" as he certainly was Sooner born, Sooner bred and a Sooner til the end. He was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity with his older brother Ryan. After attending OU, he made his career as a field salesman/manager in the communication/technology field. He loved to travel the world from Hawaii to Barbados, Bahamas, Mexico, and all his US favorites from Colorado to California and anything in between. Always a smile, a hug, with departing words of "I love you." He is survived by his mother, Rhonda Deaton Young-Laird and step-father Steve Laird; his father, Craig Young; his brothers and sisters, Ryan Young, Katie Laird, the twins, Courtney and Andrew Laird, and Miles Laird; his maternal grandparents, Donna and Richard Deaton of Lake Texoma; paternal grandmother, Marcia Young; along with very dear aunts and uncles, Gerald and Jeanne Deaton, Brenda Fenn, Mark and Tammy Deaton, Mike and Becky Deaton, Daryl and Anna Deaton; along with all his cousins. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Thomas Young. Viewing will be Friday, 9am-9pm, with family present from 6-8pm at Mercer-Adams. Services will be Saturday, October 29, 2:00pm at Putnam City Baptist Church North Annex under the direction of Mercer-Adams Funeral Service.
