Obituary

Christopher John Nelson, 41, passed away peacefully October 13, 2013 while at home with his mom and dad by his side. He was born to John and Patti Nelson May 11, 1972 in Oklahoma City. He graduated from Putnam City West in 1993. He attended and worked at the Dale Rogers Training Center for 11 years and enjoyed every minute of it. He enjoyed watching game shows and loved playing baseball. He played with Anyone Can League in Oklahoma City for 12 years and the Spirit League of Yukon for 4 years. He attended many enjoyable camps at Make Promises Happen. He loved attending the sporting events of his nephews Gabe and Kobe Flow. His dad and sister are runners and Chris loved being pushed in his running chair by them in the local races. He had many friends including a very special one, Emily Stone. His favorite thing was just being with his family, especially his nephews, Gabe and Kobe Flow. His life lit up when they were around. Chris was a very special person who touched the lives of many people and will always be remembered for the love he was able to give, his genuine love of life and his beautiful smile. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jean Ayers, Craig Ayers, Jack Southern and Darrell Nelson; and his uncle, Woodie Ayers. He is survived by his parents, John and Patti Nelson; sister, Nicole Flow and her husband, Nathan; nephews, Gabe and Kobe Flow; grandmother, Peggy Acoya; aunts, Claudia Ayers and Jacquelyn Southern; two cousins and their families. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dale Rogers Training Center, 2501 N. Utah, Oklahoma City, OK 73107 and Make Promises Happen, One Twin Cedar Lane, Guthrie, OK 73044.
