Christine Frances "Fran" Carpenter Christine Frances "Fran" Carpenter went to be with her Lord on July 29, 2018 in Yukon, OK. She was born in Charleston, WV on Dec. 25, 1923. She lived most of her life in OK and was known by many as "Aunt Fran." She was ordained an elder in the Church of the Nazarene on May 10, 1956 in Lubbock, TX on the West Texas District. Fran and Maxine Lewis co-pastored Nazarene churches in Downs, KS, Canadian, TX, Memphis, TX, and Ford, KS before moving to Bethany, OK in October 1961, where they found employment at Bethany Nazarene College (now Southern Nazarene University). Fran joined the Williams Church of the Nazarene in 1964 and was an active member. Throughout her ministry, her emphasis was on teaching children in the church. In 2003, Fran moved to Huntington Beach to be with her sister. She returned to Oklahoma in 2013 and made her home in Yukon. A memorial service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Williams Church of the Nazarene, 6900 NW 50th St., Bethany, OK.
