Dr. Chester Jennings Mikel, 101, died August 9, 2013, in Oklahoma City, OK. He was born on September 15, 1911, in Kirksville, MO, the son of Jesse W. and Mella Elizabeth Bergen Mikel. He was a retired veterinarian with the USDA. On July, 20, 1937, he married Norma Agnes Young in Hugo, OK. He was preceded in death by a sister, Lucille. Survivors include his wife, Norma; two sons, Jim Mikel and wife Marilyn of Land O' Lakes, FL and Ken Mikel of Fort Lauderdale, FL; two grandsons, Ron Mikel and wife Marsha, and Scott Mikel; great grandchildren Erin, Alexa, Ross, Tyler, and Mattie.
