Chester (Chet) Dominick Frare was born May 23, 1931 in Tenino, Washington to Antonio Dominick Frare and Mildred Chester Frare. He left this life on March 20, 2021 at the age of 89 at his home. He is survived by his son, Alan and wife Rae Ann, 5 grandchildren, Dea, Christopher, Joey, Kory, and Korbin, 8 great-grandchildren, Paul Jr. (PJ), Kingston, Avery, Christopher Jr. (CJ), Joshua, Wyatt, Gracie, and Aubrey.
Chet entered the U.S. Navy on July 16, 1948, honorably discharged July 1, 1951. He then reentered the Army in May 1953, and spent time in Korea, Vietnam, Italy, Germany, Hawaii, multiple states in the United States, and 3 years in Fitzsimons hospital recovering from wounds sustained in war. He was honorably discharged August 14, 1970. He was awarded the Purple Heart, National Service Medal, Outstanding Service Medal, Vietnam Service medal, 2 Bronze Vietnam Service Stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and Combat Infantry Badge.
He was honorably discharged from the military after 4 years Navy service and 21 years Army Service, then proceeded to finish his college degree for Ministry. After graduating from Nazarene Bible College in Colorado Springs, he was appointed to a church in Mercer, Wisconsin (3 years) then retired in Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mary Inez Frare, his daughter, Antoinette Lynn Feuerbach, his brother, Vernon, and a sister, Caroldene.
Services are under the care of Mercer-Adams Funeral Service, Bethany, Oklahoma to be held Friday, April 02, at Ft. Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, Oklahoma at 2 pm. He will be laid to rest next to his wife, Mary Inez Frare, with Full Military Honors.
He was an honorable Christian husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend loved by many and remembered for his teachings, sermons and a laugh that filled a room. In the words of his favorite singer, Patsy Kline, "If you cant do it with feeling, dont."
