Owens
Nov 15, 1942 — Dec 5, 2025
Cheryl A. Owens, 83, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away on December 5, 2025.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 8, 2025, at Mercer-Adams Chapel in Bethany, Oklahoma, under the direction of Mercer-Adams Funeral Service.
Cheryl was born on November 15, 1942, in Hobart, Oklahoma, to Dewey and Edith Eaton. She married the love of her life, Ray Owens, on November 26, 1960, in Oklahoma City.
Cheryl worked as a nurse's aide during high school before beginning a career with Toyota of Oklahoma City. While at home raising their four children, she discovered a passion for baking, especially decorating cakes—an activity that brought joy to both her and those she shared it with. Above all, Cheryl was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She treasured time spent with her family, who wish everyone to know how deeply she was loved.
Cheryl is survived by her sister, Dolores Earley of Oklahoma City; daughter, Sondra Parsons; her three sons, Gary Owens of Hurst, TX, Don Owens and wife Carla of Yukon, OK, and Neal Owens and wife Kaira of Okarche, OK; 24 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Owens; her parents, Dewey and Edith Eaton; her sister, Edna May Yarbrough; her brother, Dewey Eaton; her step-brothers, Leon and Junior Morgan; and her step-sister, Bernice Files.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 8, 2:00pm, at Mercer-Adams Chapel, 3925 N. Asbury Avenue, Bethany, OK. The service will be livestreamed and may be viewed on this obituary page.
