Obituary

Charlsie JoAnn Eaton, 87, went to be with the Lord on September 15, 2023 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born January 1, 1936 in Spur, Texas to Clark W. and Gladys F. Lewis. She spent her life as a caring mother of five children plus other children she help to raise. She was a Biblical wife and mother. Titus 2:5, "to be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed." Charlsie had been a member of Maranatha Baptist Church since 1980. Her proudest day was when the Lord Jesus Christ saved her on July 30, 1980 and His promise of a home in Heaven. In her hearts prayer she stated, "to the loves of my life: my children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren to be saved and serve the Lord Jesus Christ all the days of their life." She claimed the promise of Acts 16:31, "And they said, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved and thy house." Charlsie loved reading the Word of God and had read through its entirety over 60 times. She also loved sharing the Word of God to others and had a track route she maintained for over 22 years. Her life verse was Titus 2:13, "Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ." Charlsie was so excited when she traveled to Israel in 2007. It was the trip of a lifetime for her. She also got to visit the mission field both in Mexico and the Navajo reservation. She was an avid gardener and rock collector. She wasnt one to sit around, but preferred to stay busy. Charlsie is survived by her husband, Henry O. Eaton of Bethany, Oklahoma; sons, Jamie L. Eaton of Gage, Oklahoma and Lee D. Eaton of Yukon, Oklahoma; and daughters, Tracy F. Harjo of Bethany, Oklahoma; and Kelly R. Urling of Chaparral, New Mexico. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Minda K. Boyer of Hinton, Oklahoma. Charlsie was blessed with 18 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
