Charlsie Faye Claxton, 82, passed away on September 3rd, 2021 at her home in Piedmont, Oklahoma. She was born February 18th, 1939 in Crowder, Oklahoma to Lonnie and Jewell Davidson. She graduated from Crowder High School in 1957.
Charlsie married Jack Claxton on November 9th, 1960. They shared 48 wonderful years of marriage. Shortly after marrying, Charlsie and Jack moved to Oklahoma City, where they had 4 children together. Charlsie was a devoted mother who enjoyed being a homemaker and seamstress for her family. She loved being a Mimi and doted on her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She had a passion for landscaping, spending many hours of her day tending to her beautiful yard and flowerbeds. She was a huge animal lover and owned quite a variety of pets through the years, as well as fed all the strays in the area. She was kind, generous, loving, and full of faith. Loved by all and adored by her family and friends, Charlsie modeled a life well lived and will forever remain in the hearts of those whose lives she touched.
She is survived by her son, Scott Claxton; daughter, Robin Richert and husband Will Hatley; daughter, Kim Smith and husband Darren Smith; 11 grandchildren, Brittny, Courtny, Jesse, Nick, Justin, Lucas, Jackson, Karli, Lexi, Collin, and Morgan; 4 great-grandchildren, Trinity, Katie, Parker, and Cooper; numerous nieces, nephews, and loved ones, and her beloved pets Sophie and Sassy. She was preceded in death by husband, Jack Claxton; son, Trent Claxton; parents, Lonnie and Jewell Davidson; and sisters, Norma Rogers and Lonna Mills.
The funeral service will be held September 13th, 2021 at 10:30am at Faith Church, 12201 Warwick Drive, Oklahoma City, 73162, followed by a graveside service at 3pm at Crowder, Oklahoma cemetery.
