Charles B. Smoot, 74, died May 17, 2011 in Oklahoma City. He was born August 13, 1936 in Wanette, Oklahoma to Earl and Nora (McKinley) Smoot. He married Juanita Sue Blakley June 6, 1955 in Sterling, Colorado. He retired from the City of Bethany where he served as the Public Works Superintendent. An avid fisherman, he was known as a jack of all trades. He loved his family and was greatly devoted to them. He was preceded in death by his parents, and half-brother, John Fraley. He is survived by wife, Sue; son, Eddie Charles Smoot and wife Monica of Asher, Oklahoma; daughter, Debbie Sue Stucker and husband Ernie of Luther, Oklahoma; 3 grandchildren, Eddie Charles Smoot, II, Jeffrey Michael Smoot, and Casey Hoover; 8 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, JoAnn Troup of Oklahoma City; and nephew, Doug Owen of Oklahoma City. Viewing will be Friday only, 9am-9pm, with the family present from 6-8pm at Mercer-Adams. Services will be Saturday, May 21, 2:00pm at Cherokee Hills Church of Christ, 6724 NW 63rd with interment in Bethany Cemetery.
