Obituary

Charles Leon Panick, 70 of Oklahoma City, passed away on January 20, 2009. Known by family and friends as Leon, he was born on December 17, 1938 to Earl and Virgie Panick in Konawa, Oklahoma. He served as a staff sergeant in the 245th Armor Battalion out of Healdton, Oklahoma, as a part of the 45th Infantry Division. After Leons military service, he worked for Fife Corporation and retired after 38 years. Leon was a member of Council Road Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by both parents. Leon is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Sharon; his sister, ImaJean and her husband Raymond Deming; and numerous nieces and nephews. Much of his free time was spent volunteering at the 45th Infantry Museum where he met lifetime friends A memorial service will be held in his honor on Friday, January 23, 2009 at 2:00 PM in the Thunderbird Theater at the 45th Infantry Museum, 2145 N.E. 36th St, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
