Charles was loved by everyone in the family, from nieces and nephews who would call him Uncle Charles B. or Uncle Chobbie or simply Uncle. For brothers and sisters, he was C.B. or Charles B., and mostly just Brother. To the grandchildren, he was Grandpa or Papa, and to friends, Charlie. He was the rock of the Moore clan. Anything you needed fixed, no matter what the problem, call Charles B. Charles sponsored fourteen of Julieta's family, all of which are proud American citizens today. Charles graduated from Forrest City High School in 1944 and joined the Army Air Corps and was a World War II Veteran. After the war, he became a cotton farmer in Forrest City, AR for two years. He then went to technical school to learn electronics, and between that and his WWII experience of radar training, he became a television repairman for Sears in Little Rock, AR. In 1956, he got the opportunity to work for the federal government at F.A.A. in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. While working for F.A.A., he bid for a job in Manila, Philippines. He worked from 1971-1975, where he met and married Julieta. He was most proud of his years at F.A.A. where he liked the fact that he was only late for work "two times", once for a flat tire and the other time for bad weather. Charles received many awards and honors while working for the government. Charles was a pilot who loved aviation. He loved hunting and camping. He would make trips to Colorado for deer and elk, Nebraska to pheasant hunt, and Oklahoma to hunt quail, turkey and white tail deer with his friends and sons. He loved guns and to reload ammunition. He loved to fish, trot line being his favorite. He spent many vacations with family boating at lakes or rivers all over Arkansas and Oklahoma. He would go to Red River, NM to ride motorcycles, four wheelers, and drive jeeps off road, and simply enjoying the mountains. He would rather take two or more pieces of junk and make one good thing, whether it was an old mower, tractor tiller, tractor, and even carswhy pay someone else "Fix it yourself" he used to say! "Have no need for lazy people who won't work." His favorite love, other than family, was gardening. If you had a spare plot of land, let him know, he would plant something on it. At one time he had a garden at his Guthrie farm along with cattle, a one acre garden in Yukon, and about that much at his house in Oklahoma City. He loved to plant anything, and sold vegetables in his front yard. He was most entertaining when telling stories of his childhood with his brothers and sisters. He especially loved telling stories of his dad and Arkansas. There is no better man in our eyes than Charles B., Uncle, Uncle Chobbie, Granpa and Dad.
