Charles Mitchell Merrell passed away on February 19, 2026, in Yukon, OK. He was born on February 21, 1947, in Modesto, CA to William Robert Merrell and Lillie Belle Carter. He married the love of his life, Carol Sue Decker, on August 26, 1967, in Oklahoma City, OK.

Charles retired from self-employment after over 35 years. He enjoyed watching movies, camping, hunting, and fishing. He collected guitars and loved the holidays with his family. He was a devoted parent, grandparent, son, uncle, and brother.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, William Robert Merrell and Lillie Belle Carter; brother, William Merrell; and grandson, Derek Flesner.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Merrell of Oklahoma City; children, Chuck Merrell and Regan Flesner; grandchildren, Aaron Flesner, Morgan Depee, and Mitchell Merrell; and his great-grandchildren; as well as his many nieces, nephews and cousins whom he loved.

Viewing will be Sunday, February 22, 11am to 8pm, with family present from 2-4pm at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10am on Monday, February 23 at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service Chapel, followed by burial in Murray Cemetery in Binger, OK.
