Charles Ray Lindsey, age 79, of OKC, OK, passed away on June 7, 2020. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Mercer-Adams in Bethany. There will be a graveside service at Chapel Hill Cemetery in OKC on Friday, June 12 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be Thursday, June 11 from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Charles was born in Lubbock, TX, on October 30, 1940, to parents Marie and Elbert Lindsey. He had four siblings. He attended Putnam City High School. After high school he served in the Air Force and was honorably discharged. Charlie went on to have a successful career as a welder from which he retired. He was married to LaWanda Lindsey for 18 yrs. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Amy & Tom DiPaula of Edmond; grandchildren, Brandon & Carter DiPaula; sisters, Pat Humphreys and Mary Castle; and sister-in-law, Deanna Lindsey. Mr. Lindsey was preceded in death by his parents, Marie and Elbert, son, Douglas Lindsey, and siblings Ronnie and David.
