Charles Clifton Carter, 86, died February 16, 2013 in Bethany, OK. He was born October 4, 1926 in Bray, OK to Clarence and Nema (Howard) Carter. He retired from Francis Tuttle where he was a mail room clerk. He married Imaletta Doty on June 15, 1947 in OKC. He was a member of Williams Memorial Church of the Nazarene. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Imaletta; brother, Virgil; sister, Anna Marie; and son-in-law, Jerry Martin. Survivors include 2 sisters, Vera Graham and husband Scott of OKC, and Barbara Neuenswander of Tuttle, OK; son, C. Steven Carter and wife Vickie of Arlington, TX; daughters, Leah J. Martin and Ellen M. Carter, both of Bethany; son, Odis Carter and wife Kathryn of Bethany; grandchildren, Mike Carter and wife Lorraine, Danny Carter, Bradley Carter and wife Amy, Vanessa Negley and husband Andrew, Jonathan Charles Carter and wife Kristan (Kristy); 19 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews; extended family members; and special children of his heart. Memorials may be made to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation, the American Diabetes Association, and the American Heart Association. Viewing will be Thursday, 9am-9pm, with the family receiving friends from 6-8pm at Mercer-Adams. Funeral service will be Friday, February 22, 2:00pm at Williams Memorial Church of the Nazarene with interment following in Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
