Charley was born October 10, 1988 in Oklahoma Citys Deaconess Hospital. He came to live with us November 15, 1988 as our second son and little brother to Daniel.
He passed from this life April 10, 2016. He leaves behind his wife, Savannah and their 8 month old daughter, Naomi; parents, Jerry and Mary; brother, Daniel and his wife Amanda and their son Isaac of Bremerton, WA; grandmother, Lois Cantrell of Muskogee; birth parents, Ranita Cook of Amarillo, TX and Eddie Rivera of Portland, OR; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, half-brothers and sisters.
Charley was born with a smile on his face. He entered manhood with that infectious smile and a very tender heart. He grew up wanting to be a fireman from his early days, and got his associates degree in Municipal Fire Protection, but went on to graduate from Oklahoma State University with a bachelors degree in Emergency Response Administration. Until his passing, he was employed at FormaFuse as a welder in Oklahoma City, working to gain experience that would allow him to pursue his career of choice, in the area of safety.
Early on, he enjoyed working out, mountain biking, camping, and occasionally would go golfing where he swung the club like a baseball bat. He also enjoyed working on the farm with his Granddad Bural and spoke many times of the life lessons he learned from him.
He could often be found enjoying a satisfying dialog and a good cup of coffee with his momma, Mary.
He is already sorely missed; we so look forward to seeing that smile on his face when we will all be reunited.
