Obituary

Theresa Mary Mullen Mann (February 20, 1931 July 27, 2019) Charles Lawrence Mann (November 21, 1927 February 2, 2023) Heres hoping reincarnation is possible because on February 2, 2023, Charles Lawrence Mann left our mortal realm at 95 years of age to embark on the glorious voyage to reunite with his wife of 71 years, Theresa Mary Mullen Mann who passed on July 27, 2019 at 88 years young. Surely the first words Terry spoke upon his arrival were "Chuck, what took you so long!" What made our mother and father, grandparents, great-grandparents, and friends to many so singular is not limited to their basic sense of goodness, loyalty and charity to others, but also to the love of their family exemplified by the integrity and respect they modeled for all of us. That love of family rang louder than any symphony. Chuck shined among men because of his moral fiber, intellect and his quiet but wry sense of humor. He taught us all to respect others, never having a disparaging word for anyone. He was a medaled member of the US Navy as a Sonarman during WW II (where he gained his life-long love for Navy Beans!), settling in Oklahoma City with his new "take-no-nonsense" bride after the war to start a family. He joined IBM as a time clock repairman and climbed the ranks to become a Senior Customer Engineer as a mainframe computer specialist. Terry was a homemaker, raising their three children, and ultimately worked in Child Nutrition at Putnam City High School. They retired early, moving to their beloved cabin in the Colorado Rockies until the harsh winters finally won after twenty years, driving them back to their family home in Oklahoma City to enjoy their golden years. They are survived by their three children, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. In the great beyond, we are certain Terry is at a nickel slot machine and Chuck is feeding her quarters. Yet, the family hopes for reincarnationbecause the world is simply a better place with Terry and Chuck in it. We will miss them dearly, but know they will always be with us, whispering in our ears as we continue to enjoy the earthbound lives they gave us. . Funeral Service
