Chance A. McClurkin was born January 12, 1979 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Cynthia A. McClurkin. He departed this life on February 8, 2015 at the age of 36 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Chance spent many years working for Bill Perry Family Design drafting houses. The Perry family became a second family to Chance through the years. Bill and Darleen Perry treated him as one of their own. He left drafting houses in order to pursue his own business, DevilsOwn Alcohol Injection. Chance loved working with tools on any project, he may not finish the project, but he enjoyed it never the less. DevilsOwn gave him the opportunity to do many things he loved; work with cars, talk to many people and make them his friends, and to continuously develop new ideas of how to make the best product he could. All Chance ever really wanted to do was help anyone the best he could; so making an easy to use, well made product came easily to him. On December 4, 2004 Chance married Delana Atkinson in Chickasha, OK. They had two kids, Braydon Riley McClurkin (9) and Nylah Joann McClurkin (6). From the moment Chance and Delana met he was devoted to her and was even more so devoted to the kids when they came along. He would do whatever he needed to do in order to provide for his kids and even spoil them as much as he could. He enjoyed taking them along to any race track event or car show. Chance never met a stranger. Once acquainted he considered them a friend. He would gladly do whatever he could to help anyone out and always enjoyed the company of others. He often would ask friends to come assist in some unfinished project in order to spend more time with them but still work on his to do list. He is survived by his wife, Delana McClurkin and their two children, Braydon, and Nylah of Yukon, OK; uncle, Greg Smith of Oklahoma City, OK; aunt, Gay Smith; cousin, Jennifer Smith, and her two kids Brennan and Brianna of Baton Rouge, LA. He was preceded in death by his mother, Cynthia McClurkin; grandmother, Lavern Smith; uncle, Ronnie Smith, and cousin, Jordan Smith. Visitation will be Thursday, February 12, 2015 from 8:00am - 9:00pm with family present from 5:00 - 8:00pm at Mercer Adams Funeral Service, 3925 N. Asbury Ave. Bethany, OK.
