Obituary

Carrie Denise Attalla, 51, went to be with the Lord March 29, 2015. She was born September 3, 1963, in Altus, OK, to Patrick and Jimi (Hadley) Merrill. She taught English at Yukon and Piedmont High Schools. A member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church, her faith in God was unwavering. Her true passion was teaching and building relationships with her "kids," both at home and at school. Between God, family, school, tennis, vacations, kid's sporting events, and wine; she lived life to the fullest. Whatever she did, she did it with passionshe was all in. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Zane Hadley, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Merrill; and sister-in-law, Mary Beth Attalla. Survivors include her loving husband of 20 years, Todd; daughters, Avery Violet (17), Maci Merrill (13), and Lillian Jules (11); parents, Jimi Hadley and John Schille, Pat and Jan Merrill; sisters, Cindy Merrill and Heather Slovak; brother, Heath Jackson; in-laws, Theodore and Janice Attalla; aunts and uncles, Peggy and Larry Pitts, Beth and Dale McAskill, and Jim Merrill; brothers-in-law, Tom, Doug and David Attalla; and extended family and friends too numerous to name. Visitation will be Thursday, 1-9pm at Mercer-Adams. Services will be Friday, April 3, 10:00am at Church of the Servant with interment in Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
