Carolyn Lamb Poe entered Heaven on Tuesday, November 9, 2010. She was born on July 6, 1925 in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee to the Rev. James E. and Ethel Kitty Beckum. She was the greatest mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew her. Her faith in Jesus Christ was a positive force that carried her through life. She was a member of Bethany First Church of the Nazarene where a seat was always reserved for her by loving friends. She married Bill Lamb in 1943 and was married for 35 years. Upon his death, she married Arthur OBrian Poe who predeceased her in 2005. She retired from Sears Credit Central as an executive secretary after 30 years. She is survived by her sons, Gene Lamb and wife Sandi of Kimberling City, Missouri, Larry Lamb and wife Patricia of Richardson, Texas, Jack Poe and wife Phyllis of Oklahoma City; daughter, Jackie Cary and husband Jim of Oklahoma City; 3 brothers and 1 sister; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and friends who all loved and cherished her. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to all the staff at Deaconess Hospital. The family will receive friends and family at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service, 3925 N. Asbury, Bethany, Oklahoma on Friday, November 12, 6:00-9)00 p.m. Services will be Saturday, November 13, 10:30 a.m. at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment in Chapel Hill.
