Carolyn Ann
Mabry
Mar 2, 1945 — Dec 31, 2025
Carolyn Mabry, born March 2, 1945, in Drumright, Oklahoma, passed from this life to her eternal home peacefully December 31, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Carolyn was the eldest daughter born to Eulane McClain (Mullins). She had one brother, Ronald James McClain who preceded her in death in 1977.
Carolyn grew up in Lawton, OK and met the love of her life, David Mabry, when she was in the 7th grade. They were married on January 17, 1963, which lasted 60 years until her husband passed away 3 months later. They moved to Oklahoma City in 1970 and later moved to Yukon, OK in 1978 where they remained. She was blessed with two children, David Jr in 1965 and Sheila in 1968. Carolyn worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for 30 years when she retired in 1997.
David and Carolyn were long-time members of Friendship Pentecostal Holiness Church. They had many great friends in the church. Carolyn loved Jesus all her life and knew she would one day be reunited with loved ones who went on before her.
Carolyn loved her family more than words can describe. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy. Carolyn would do anything for her family and her absence will be greatly missed.
Carolyn was heartbroken when she lost her husband of 60 years and her health steadily declined. She was blessed to have two of her grandsons, Dawson Hughes and Carson Hughes live with her. As her health started to rapidly decline over the last couple of months, her grandsons helped her in every way they could to care for their grandmother who could no longer care for herself. These boys helped make it possible for her to stay home until her last day. Words cannot express the gratitude, love and appreciation for the way they honored their grandmother. She often said she did not know what she would do if they were not there to help her.
She is survived by her son, David Mabry Jr. and wife Jana of Denison Texas; daughter, Sheila Moss and husband Scott of Yukon OK; granddaughter, Mallory Bargas (Mabry) and husband Johnny of Madill OK; grandson, Joshua Mabry and wife Tara of Kingston OK; granddaughter, Courteney Adamson (Hughes) and husband Richard of Yukon OK; grandson, Dawson Hughes of Yukon OK; grandson, Carson Hughes of Yukon; grandsons, Bray and wife Makenzie Moss of Yukon, OK and Lex Moss of Yukon, OK. Great grandchildren Camden, Caiden and Cydney Bargas; Kyler and Kash Mabry; Stetson Adamson; and Brinley and Waylon Moss.
Preceded in death by her husband, mother, stepdad John Mullins and brother as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family would like to thank Anthem Hospice for their care in her last week of life. They would especially like to thank Whitney Boyd-Beier, LPN for her amazing care and compassion. She was not only a great nurse but a very special family friend who made this process smooth.
To her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who knew her, Carolyn leaves a legacy of strength, compassion and tremendous love — a testament to a life well lived, richly loved, and gratefully remembered.
