Carolyn Joye Dixon, 87, was born October 18, 1933 to Roy and Lydia Price in McAlester, Oklahoma. She passed away peacefully at home on August 9, 2021 in Oklahoma City. Carolyn attended McAlester High School and graduated in 1951. She was married to Don J. Dixon on May 10, 1953. The couple moved to OKC where Carolyn worked for 10 years as a draftsman at Southwestern Bell. She spent the rest of her career as an administrative assistant at The First National Bank of Bethany and Christian, Inc. Carolyn was preceded in death by her longtime companion Herb Sumption, and her older brother, Roy C. Price, Jr. and his wife MaryAnn Morrison Price. She is survived by her two daughters, Debbie Dixon Stroud and Shelley Dixon Bradbury (Tim). Carolyns legacy also includes five grandchildren, Randy Stroud (Rachel), Peyton Cartmill (Pat), Dixon Bradbury (Claire), Garrett Bradbury (Carson) and Baxter Bradbury, along with five great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery in McAlester, OK at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 12, 2021.
