Carolyn Sue Blackwell, 70, died at her home, January 31, 2020 in Bethany, OK. She was born March 22, 1949 in Fairfield, Ohio, the daughter of Robert O. and Lenora (Eismon) Young. She graduated from Berne Union High School in Sugar Grove, Ohio. Carolyn was the Manager of Grounds/Warehouse at Putnam City Schools where she was semi-retired. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert O. Young, Sr. and brother, Robert O. Young, Jr. Survivors include two sons, William Lee Jacobs, Jr. and his wife, LaNita S., and Benny Shane Jacobs; mother, Lenora Rinehart; two brothers, William R. Young and his wife Joyce and Arthur L. Barnhart, Jr. and his wife Rene; sister, Shelley Sobleski and her husband Bruce; grandchildren, William L. Jacobs, III, Ronnie A. Jacobs, and Haley E. Jacobs. The joy of Carolyns life was her grandchildren. She loved her cats and dogs and had a special place in her heart for Elvis. She was an avid OU Sooners fan. Viewing will be Friday, 9am-9pm at Mercer-Adams. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 8, 10:00am at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
