Carol Wheeler-Sickle, 77, died May 13, 2017 in OKC. She was born September 22, 1939 in San Benito, TX to Louis A. and Idalia (Delise) Wheeler. On September 9, 1957, she married Andrew Sickle in Harlingen, Texas. She was a former ACC Clerk at Mercy Hospital where she took one of the hospital priests under her wing. They loved to play chicken foot dominoes, plan birthday parties, and he would knit her scarves and winter caps. Carol loved to cook, volunteer at the church, and enjoyed playing pinochle. She especially loved doing activities with her grandchildren. Carol was an excellent cook and was known for her delicious carrot cake. Like her mother, she loved to dance to live music and she succeeded in twisting Andrew's arm more than a few times to take her dancing.Carol was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Kolby. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Andy; two daughters, Meri and Sharon; grandchildren, Jay, Cindy, John Andrew, Vanessa, Shannon, Jason, Shelly, Amber, Shawna, Crystal, and Steven; 26 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She adored her four living pets, and missed her darling Bridgette who went before her.Mass of Christian burial will be Wednesday, May 17, 11:00 at Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church, OKC.
