Daughter, marriage life partner, mother, grandmother, friend and woman of faith; Carol Sue (Stewart) Allen of Oklahoma City, OK, died in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on July 8, 2017. The daughter of William Wesley Stewart Jr. and Mary Belle Stewart, Carol was born in Anthony, Kansas on February 18, 1947. She grew up in Medicine Lodge, Kansas and graduated Medicine Lodge High School. She also attended Phillips University in Enid, Oklahoma before moving to Oklahoma City. She was married to Jerry L. Allen on December 12, 1975 and they lived as dedicated companions for 41 years. Her husband, Jerry, survives her. Also surviving Carol are daughter, Lynda J. Chester (Brian) of New York; granddaughters, Abby J. Smith and Addison L. Smith; step-granddaughter, Marisa Chester; sister, Janet K. Ketola and brother, W. Dale Stewart (Terri). She was preceded in death by her parents. Carol was honored with the "Golden Apple Award" for her dedicated volunteer service to Putnam City Public Schools before working at Putnam City West High School. She worked at Francis Tuttle Technology Center for fourteen years before retiring in September 2016. Funeral services will be held at Western Oaks Christian Church on Wednesday July 12, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Spring Creek Memorial Cemetery.
