Obituary

Carl Anton Skrapka was called back to God on December 31, 2023. He was born to John and Helen Skrapka in Jones, Oklahoma on June 2, 1930.

Carl was preceded in death by his siblings, Raymond, August, Polly, and Emma. He is survived by his sisters, Christine and Lenora.

Carl was honorably discharged in 1954 after serving in the United States Navy and was a member of The American Legion. He was known for his diligent work ethic and retired from Gulfstream Aerospace in 1992.

Carl was extremely proud of his six children: Kenneth Harrell and wife Terry, Beverly Walters, Carl Alan Skrapka, Glenda Karjoo, Mike Skrapka and wife Sherian, and Jim Skrapka. His stories, advice, and catchphrases will be greatly missed by his 17 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, 14 nieces, and 8 nephews.

On October 20, 1972, Carl married his favorite dance partner, Bonnie Lee Harrell. They shared 43 years of traveling and square dancing. He was reunited with the love of his life on New Years Eve, 2023. Carl loved fishing, gardening, hunting, and playing card games. He will be remembered for all the heart he shared with friends and family.

Services will be held Friday, January 5 at 10:30am at Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, or American Cancer Society.
