Carl Edmond Moslander was born December 30, 1925 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to Proctor R. and Nola Moslander, and he passed from this life twenty days before his 90th birthday. As a young boy he moved with his parents and younger brother and sister to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where he has since resided. In his youth, Carl was an avid reader and had a passion for the Boy Scouts of America. He obtained the rank of Life Scout. He graduated from Capital Hill High School in 1944, he joined the U.S Army during World War II and served in the Pacific Theater principally the Philippines, Manila and Japan as a military policeman. After the war, he attended the University of Oklahoma where he obtained his Bachelor of Laws and Juris Doctorate on June 4, 1951. He was a member of the Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity and admitted to the Oklahoma Bar Association on March 20, 1951. Carl later met Bonnie Loraine Teal of Russellville, Arkansas and were married on April 19, 1957. Together they lived in Oklahoma City for the next 58 years where their three children; Sherri, Chris and Terry were born. Here Carl opened and established a private law office where he practiced for the next years serving the people of the Oklahoma City area. Carl was passionate about music and dancing. In his life, he amassed a quite sizeable collection of music in the record and album format. He was particularly fond of the orchestras of the Big Band era. He and Bonnie routinely lived it up and danced the nights away at the ballrooms and dance clubs where they were members. He was fond of OU football and the pinnacle of every year for many years was the annual OU/Texas weekend they would share with their close friends. Golf was his sport and he loved to play the game and to socialize with his group of golf buddies over the years. He was a traveller and enjoyed many trips with Bonnie. He was especially fond of London. Carl was a dog lover. Throughout his life he always had a special dog in his life. He could recall all of them by name. The last 18 years of his life was spent with his special friend and second love of his life "Miss Sugar". Carl attended Bethany the First Church of the Nazarene where he was a member of the congregation. Carl was very proud of America and his service in the military. On June 3rd, 2014 he was delighted to go on the Honor Flight to Washington D.C. with fellow WWII veterans and view the war memorial. It was special and quite an experience. Carl was always very humble and thankful for the things and position he had attained in life. Like so many of his great generation, he grew up very poor and life was hard during the Great Depression. His beginnings instilled a great work ethic and a strong sense of integrity in him that he was well known for. He loved his family and his Lord. His faith in God was strong and didnt waver. He was preceded in death by his parents and younger brother Gene. He is survived by his wife Bonnie; daughter, Sherri L. Boyce and husband Tom of Tulsa; oldest son, Chris L.
