Our dad, Carl, passed away early Thursday morning, July 26th, after declining health. He was born December 24th, 1923. He was a member of The Greatest Generation, serving in World War II with the U.S. Army, taking part in the battle of Saipan. He married the love of his life, Rita Joyce Manning, after the war upon returning to Oklahoma City. They were married 66 years. He worked as a printing salesman all his life until retirement. They had five sons, Bill, Gary, Mark, Brad and Tim, and one daughter, Tina. Preceding him in death was wife, Rita, on December 6th, 2014; sons, Tim and Brad; and granddaughter, Nicole. He is survived by Bill and his wife Patricia of Edmond, Gary and his wife Judy of Oklahoma City, Mark and his wife Evette of Austin, TX, and Tina and her husband Steve of Tucson, AZ. He had 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Carl was a wonderful dad, grandfather and great-grandfather. We have many fond memories. He is now looking down on us from Heaven. We have been blessed. Funeral services will be held at Mercer Adams Funeral Home, 3925 N. Asbury, Bethany, OK on Wednesday August 1st, 2018 at 2:00 PM.
