Carl M. Decker of Bethany, Oklahoma died Tuesday January 8, 2013 from complications of congestive heart failure and pneumonia. He was born in Goltry, Oklahoma on November 12, 1933, to Rudolph and Dessie Decker. Throughout his life, he had several jobs that he performed ~ from being an automotive engineer where he designed mounting brackets for aftermarket air conditioners on cars to owning his own storm door and window business. Carl also had a job where he worked in commercial sales. His hobby of woodworking was something he always enjoyed doing out in his woodshop. Carl is survived by his wife, Betty Decker; his daughter, Dareta and her son, Steven; his son, Kevin and his wife Andrea and their four children, Hannah, Gretchen, Dustin (currently serving in Afghanistan) and Lorelei; his son, Lane and his wife Susan and their four children, Jake, Annie, Gracie and Sophie; his sister, Karen Koehn and her husband Joe; and his sister, LaVeta Radke. Carl was preceded in death by his father (Rudolph); his mother (Dessie); his brother, Robert Decker; and his sister, Rosalie Hansen. There will be a viewing at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service, 3925 North Asbury, Bethany, Oklahoma 73008 on Thursday, January 10, 2013 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. The memorial service will held at 11:00am at Metropolitan Baptist Church, 7201 West Britton Road, Oklahoma City, 73132.
