Camilla Kathryn Nockels was on loan from heaven, lent to earth, from April 13, 1953 until April 26, 2022. Our Grams, Camilla Powers only daughter, Camilla Kathryn; Our Dad, Dennis Nockels most beloved and adored wife, "honey," best friend, and confidant, Kay; Mother, Mom, Mama to us six kids: Joshua Clayton, Nathaniel Edward, Addison Elizabeth, Benjamin Jacob, Jonathan Andrew, and Mary Caroline; Chosen Mama of Christy, Todd, Joanna, Debra, Grandma and Ma to all seventeen grandchildren and great grandchildren: Courtney & Clayton; Noah, Elliana, Caleb, Anna, & Malachi; Harley, Presley, & Kennedy; Fern Grear Kash & Kross. Camilla "Kay" Nockels was unequivocally epicwithout dispute, truly one for the ages. She somehow transcended the uniqueness that is true of every individual to actually be one-of-a-kind: so fully, thoroughly, utterly, and completely herself without compromise or question. If you knew her for years or even encountered her for an instance, you have this "yes, yes, yes" welling up in your spirit, attesting to that truth. How can we distill the essence of her life so well-lived We cant. How can we make plain to see the kaleidoscope of her magnificence We wont. So, we must surrender to the reality that every word, thought, unction, and tear will only hint at what we know to be the inexhaustible tale of Camilla Kathryns life, which is too good not to be true. Anything we say in this moment will only serve as a signpost, pointing you to the one we cherish and already desperately miss. The space she occupied in our hearts and the lives of countless others near and far is as vast and expansive as the universe itself. This indomitable force and irreplaceable presence is no longer here; she is everywhere. Lift your head up to the skies shed say: there I am. Look deep into one anothers eyes: there I am. Hold tight to the hand beside: there I am. Look for me in the everyday beauty of your lives: there I am. Sing a song, shed a tear, write a letter, tell a story: there I am. Look and listen with the eyes and ears of your heart: there I am. Be still and quiet: there I am. Bow your head to say your prayers: there I am. Bend a knee to join those trampled upon: there I am.
