Calvin Ray Woods met his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 9, 2011. He was born on September 27, 1939, to Ernest and Fern Woods in Westville, Oklahoma. He graduated from Central High School in Tulsa in 1958. He married Pauline Clark on October 23, 1959. Calvin worked in the retail industry and retired from being a long haul truck driver. He has been a member of Mayfair Baptist Church for the last thirty years. Calvin was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Benjamin Woods; and sister, Faye Woods. He is survived by his wife, Pauline; daughter Donna Miner, husband Robert, their children Matt, Zach, Nicole, and Sarah; his son Larry Woods, wife Vickie, their children Josh, Ashley, and Lexy. He was a proud, devoted husband, father and grandfather that loved spending time with his family. He was committed to helping others and always willing to lend a hand. He loved the Lord and dedicated his life to serving Him by being involved in many ministries including children and bus ministries, truck stop ministry, and conducting Sunday service at several area nursing homes. Family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers. The family wishes to thank Hilton and Alma Kaderli, Marie Dooley, Walter Goddard, Margaret Hardester and many friends at Mayfair Baptist for their friendship and support. Also, Dr Thy Nguyen, her nurse Brianna, Excell Hospice, and Allwood Home Health for their excellent care. The family will greet guests from 6:00-8:00pm Tuesday, July 12, at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am Wednesday, July 13, at Mayfair Baptist Church with 3:00pm interment at Memorial Park Cemetery, Tulsa, OK.
