Buell M. Estes Buell M. Estes, born October 25, 1919, in Winston County, Alabama, passed away October 10, 2010, in Edmond, Oklahoma. Buell served as an aircraft mechanic in the US Army Air Corp during WWII. He was stationed in the European Theater, where his crew on the B-17 Flying Fortress was part of the D-Day Invasion. After the war, Buell worked 30 years for OG&E as a lineman and warehouse employee, retiring in 1974. Buell was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Sarah, and his son, Larry. He is survived by two brothers, James and Alvie Doc Estes, and one sister, Mildred Ballew, all of Alabama, along with a host of loving nieces and nephews. Buell was a hard worker who loved Alabama Crimson Tide football, a Johnnies #12 and a good crossword puzzle, and we will miss his twinkling blue eyes. A graveside service will be held at 10:00am Wednesday, October 13, at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Oklahoma City.
