Bryan Lee Camp, 48, of Bethany, OK passed from this life on earth to his heavenly home on Saturday, September 14, 2019 from complications of his kidney disease and subsequent transplant. He leaves behind to celebrate his life, father, Raymond Lee Camp, mother, Melinda Ann Camp, brother & sister in law, Jay and Kimberly Camp, sister & brother in law, Amanda and Houston Tracy; also nieces, Abby Camp and Trinity Tracy, nephews, William Camp, Ayden Brewer, Asa Camp and Gavin Tracy. He loved his family and they loved him.
Bryan was a member of Putnam City Baptist Church, which he attended faithfully until his kidney disease started draining his energy. Then he would watch it on the internet from his home. He was a member of a Sunday School that was primarily older ladies. But he enjoyed the attention he got in it. Those big brown eyes and the fat, cabbage patch doll cheeks just made him too precious. Lol Bryan's faith in Jesus Christ was evident in his daily life. And he was quick to affirm it.
He attended Putnam City schools, graduating from PC West in 1989. He received an Associate's Degree in computer aided drafting from OSU TECH/OKC. Later he would further his studies at Francis Tuttle for both computer work and architecture. He had received various awards for his work in these studies.
Bryan enjoyed girls fastpitch softball. He assisted in coaching and umpiring games at the PCOGirls ballpark. Umpiring was his favorite past time. He liked the competition and challenges of umpiring the older girls games. But he thoroughly enjoyed the very young ones. That's where his kindness and tenderness showed through, taking time to explain or show the little ones the "tricks of the trade." And they loved him.
Even in high school, Bryan was a friend to the "not so cool" kids. He would stand up for the underdog and be a friend to anyone who needed one. He was a kind soul and loved jokes and laughter. He enjoyed making people laugh and smile. He was a king of one liners. Which sometimes would annoy his mother. Lol
He held jobs in IT work, drafting, customer services and lots of computer installation until his health began to slow him down.
He was a BIG OSU fan. Football of course, but primarily the girls softball team. He would follow them faithfully watching every game that was televised. In May you could find him out at the Hall of Fame Stadium to watch the games of Women College World Series. And he loved every minute of it.
Bryan was best known for his quick wit and infectious laugh. But also for his gentle soul and kindness. Always there to help. Think maybe the Lord was needing his printer worked on.
