Obituary

Brittie Lucille Ward, Oklahoma City, passed away April 9, 2010 in her home. She was born Jan. 15, 1922 to John Harvey and Allie Esther Little, in Duffau, TX. Lucy married Herbert Lee Ward in 1950. She worked for 38 years as a Directorate of Supply & Material Management at Tinker Air Force Base and received numerous outstanding service awards during her career there. She enjoyed traveling, flower gardening, spending time with her family and friends, and especially loved being a die-hard OU football fan. Lucy was a longtime member of Putnam City Baptist Church. Lucy is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Herbert. She is survived by her Step-Children: Lynette (Dave) Libbey, San Angelo, TX; Eddie Lee (Georgann) Ward, OKC; Grandchildren: Darnell (Irene) Brownen, Gary (Dolores) Ward, Terry (Erica) Ward, Kenny (Shannon) Ward, Michael (Heather) Ward, and 11 great-grandchildren; as well as her brothers: Grady (Frances) Little, H.L. Spec (Betty) Little, and Wayne (Beverly) Little; along with numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to give a special thanks to her care giver Lillie Sigler. Services will be held Wed. April 14, 2010, 10:00 a.m. at Putnam City Baptist Church, 11401 North Rockwell, OKC, with interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. A memorial fund has been established with the Alzheimers Association Oklahoma and Chapter, Inc.
