Brian David Freeland, 48, of Edmond, OK, unexpectedly passed from this life to his heavenly home on October 15, 2014. Born to Royden Freeland and Mary Bowerman, on September 4, 1966, he lived most of his life in the Oklahoma City-Edmond area. Brian received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Central Oklahoma and developed his career with International Crystal Manufacturing Company, Inc. and Garlon Business Systems in Oklahoma City. Brian was honored to serve his country in the United States Army in Germany and the United States. His many interests included flying planes and helicopters as a member of The Oklahoma Radio Kontrol Society (TORKS), camping with his family, reading, and spending time with his beloved grandchildren. He was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Royden (Deloris) Freeland and Mary (Jerry) Bowerman, Brian is survived by his wife Marie, and her children: Christopher (Claudia) Trent, Jennifer (Chase) Dryden, and Ashley Trent; his brother Jason (Michaela) Freeland, step-brother Jared Bowerman, and step-sister Christy (Mike) Chesley; grandchildren Jada and John Trent, Javon Frazier, Jaselyn Dryden, and Jakobi Trent. He also leaves behind to treasure his memory many sisters and brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends and business associates. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 21, at Spring Creek Baptist Church with interment following at Kansas Cemetery in Piedmont, OK. Services are under the direction of Mercer-Adams Funeral Service.
