She loved to serve in whatever capacity that she was needed. Bonnie and Irvin were song evangelists for the Church of the Nazarene and traveled many miles, doing what they loved, singing and ministering to many churches.
She was an integral part of their business, serving as bookkeeper and parts runner for Simmons Texaco gas station, and then for Simmons Automotive Repair Shop. She loved arranging flowers and always kept their church supplied with flower arrangements.
She faithfully took family members with her and Irvin to several nursing homes in the area to sing and visit with the residents.
