Bonita Faye Scarlett (Montgomery) passed away Friday, July 30, 2021 in The Villages, Florida after an extended illness. Bonnie was born January 4, 1933 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Dewy Montgomery and Agnes Montgomery Quass. She was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Don Scarlett; her parents; and her brother. She is survived by three children, Yvonne Mattix (Ray) of Temple, Texas, Ron Scarlett (Cinda) of Edmond, Oklahoma and Cyndi Scarlett of The Villages, Florida; three grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Bonnie and her husband served as missionaries to South Africa for eighteen years and also served as pastors in Indiana, Florida and Iowa. Memorial donations may be made to the work of the Church of the Nazarene in South Africa. A graveside service will be held at Bethany Cemetery on Saturday, August 21 at 2:00 p.m. .
