Bobby Gene Tilley, 86, of Oklahoma City, was born February 27, 1928 in Glenwood, Arkansas, and was raised by his grandmother and grandfather Thomas in Mountain Park, Oklahoma. He passed away at his home, surrounded by loved ones, on Wednesday April 23, 2014. He proudly served in the United States Army. He came back to Mountain Park, Oklahoma and worked the wheat harvest and had various other jobs including the local gas station. He was the night watchman at OCU while attending school there and had different jobs leading up to his 60+ year career as a salesman, retiring from Kirby Smith Machinery after 20+ years. He was a Mason and Shriner, and an active member of Heritage Baptist Church since 1983 where he enjoyed ushering and greeting. Bob was a "people man" who could talk to anybody and did! He was a notorious joke-teller, with plenty of one-liners and longer ones. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Cindy. Bob is survived by his wife, Wanda; daughter, Karen; step-children, Jeannie and Tony; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Viewing will be Friday, noon-9pm, with family present from 6-8pm at Mercer-Adams. Services will be held Saturday, April 26, 11:00am at Heritage Baptist Church, 14317 N. Council Road, OKC.
