Bobby Leonard quietly left this world on Monday, March 19, 2012. He was born in Bridgeport, OK, March 6, 1942. He grew up in Oklahoma and graduated from Central High School in 1961. He served his country in the Marine Corp and the U.S. Army with a tour in Germany from 1960-1964. He married Sharon Crist in May 1965. His working years were at Carr Electric, Southwest Electric, and 29 years at F.A.A. Everyone who knew Bobby was aware of his love for animals, but more than that he loved people. As someone stated, "Bobby didn't judge his friends or family, he just loved them." He could fix "almost anything," as many can attest, and he loved garage sales and swap meets. He was a member of Christ's Christian Church. His desire would be if someone was not a Christian, they would at least make it a consideration. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sharon; two sons, Stephen Leonard and family, and Jimmy and Toni Leonard and son; his mother, Arlene Leonard; four sisters, Mary Early, Myra Williams, Charlotte Sims and husband John, Karen Mooney and husband Bob; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two baby sisters; a brother, Johnny; and father, John Wesley Leonard. Bobby loved everyone with whom he shared his life. Funeral service will be Friday, March 23, 10:00am at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment in Bethany Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request memorials be sent to the Christ's Christian Church, 2800 S. Portland, Oklahoma City 73108.
