Bobby Joe Fox of Newcastle, Oklahoma passed from this life on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at the age of 80 years. He was born in Okemah, Oklahoma to William Marvin Fox and Eva Lucile Albright on September 19, 1941. He graduated high school in 1959 from Kingfisher High School where he was president of the "Hot Rod" Club (He loved Drag Racing). Bobby met the love of his life and married Shirley Marie Ganz on November 10, 1961 in Ponca City, Oklahoma. Bobby went to work with his father at the age of 14 at McConnells Construction. When he was 17 he started B.J. Fox Trucking Company and continued working at McConnells until it sold in 1981. At that time, Bobby and Shirley started ABC Paving then moved to New Castle, Oklahoma in 1986. Bobby retired in 1989 at the age of 48. He was a member of the Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Bethany, Oklahoma. Bobby and Shirley traveled in their Coach and made friends all over the United States. He collected miniature cars and tractors. He also enjoyed working outside with his grandsons, Chase and Bryce. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents and son Robbie. Bobby is survived by wife, Shirley; daughter, Marva and husband Chris Evans; and grandchildren, Chase and Bryce of New Castle, Oklahoma, Robert and Jerri Randolph of Springfield, Missouri, Tosha and Matt Tracy of Chuckey, Tennessee, Alison and Johnathan Bird of Indiahoma, Oklahoma; also six great-grandchildren; sister, Winnie of Oklahoma; brothers, Carl and wife Barbara Fox of Denver, Colorado, Troy Fox of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and a host of friends that love him dearly. Visitation with family present will be from 5-7pm, Monday, April 25, 2022, at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service, 3925 N. Asbury, Bethany, OK. Service will be 10:30am, Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 6501 N.W. 23rd, Bethany, OK. Interment will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Ponca City, OK at 3:30pm. .
