Bobbie Jean Haley, known as Meme to her grandchildren, age 72, Bethany, OK, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2011. She is survived by her daughters and her sons-in law, Karen and Mike Laughlin and Shawnda and David Trent; and grandchildren, Audra, Alex, Dylan, Savanna, Brooklyn and Madison. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph C. Haley, sister, Mary Brunner, and her parents, AC Lindley and Lovell and Gene Belter. After devoting most of her life raising her family and caring for grandchildren, Bobbie returned to school and received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Education and taught special needs children in public schools until her retirement in 2006. Again, in her retirement years, she spent her life caring for grandchildren and being active in her church, ladies small group and Sunday School class. A celebration of her life will be Wednesday, September 28, 2011, 10:00 a.m. at Oklahoma City First Church of the Nazarene with burial to follow in Bethany Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday, September 27, 2011, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with family present from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Mercer-Adams Funeral Home.
