Blake Daniel Howard, 11 months, passed away on March 26, 2015 peacefully in his mother and father's arms. He was born in Oklahoma City on April 8, 2014 to Derek and Nicole (Newell) Howard. At 5 months he was diagnosed with JMML. He fought a 6 month battle with this rare form of leukemia twice. He was cared for by the amazing Doctors and Nurses of the 10th floor Hematology/Oncology team at OU Children's Hospital. They will forever have a special place in our hearts. With the bat of his pretty blue eyes he had the nurses at his beck and call. He had a contagious smile that would brighten anyone's day. Blake was adored by his big brother and 3 big sisters, but most of all his twin sister Violet. No matter how many days apart she always remembered who he was, a bond none of us will ever understand. Blake is survived by his parents; brother, Ryan; sisters, Katelynn, Valerie, Victoria, and twin sister Violet; maternal grandparents, Ron and Lisa Gentry; paternal grandparents, William "Randy" and Brenda Howard; great-grandparents, D.L. and Shirley Spencer; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Services will be 11:00am, Monday, March 30th at Calvary Bible Fellowship, 6606 NW 16th Street with burial to follow in Bethany Cemetery.
