Binh Van Pham, 75, died on June 1, 2018. He was born in Ninh Cuong, Bui Chu, Vietnam on May 10, 1943 to Mr. and Mrs. Trac Van Pham. He married Huong Thi Nguyen on June 26, 1966 in Vietnam. Binh retired from General Motors after more than 30 years of service and had numerous gifts and talents. He was lovingly referred to by his family as "MacGyver." He was a proud veteran, serving in the Vietnam War in the South Vietnamese Navy alongside American forces. He was co-founder of his local church and was a very active and dedicated parishioner. Binh enjoyed fishing, gardening, building anything and everything, and cooking (pho was his specialty!). Binh was preceded in death by his parents, brother Thuc, brother Thuan, sister Tuoi, son Thinh, and daughter Nga. He is survived by his wife Huong; son, Ryan Hung; daughter, Lauren Thuy Johnson and son-in-law, Matt Johnson; daughter, Hang Gray and son-in-law, Matt Gray; son, Phu Van; daughter, Thoa; daughter, Tammi and son-in-law, Rocky Chavez; son, Charles Chuong; and son, Alex; grandsons, Nathan, Matthew, Nicholas, Seth, Cooper, Graham; granddaughter, Sofia; and Baby Chavez #2 (on the way). He is also survived by siblings, Phuong, Tin, Duc, and Mui Kim, as well as numerous in-laws, cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends. He will be greatly missed. Funeral mass will be held at St. Andrew Dung-Lac Vietnamese Catholic Church on Saturday, June 9, at 11:00 AM at 3115 SW 59 St, Oklahoma City, OK 73159. Interment will follow at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery, 7801 NW Expressway, Oklahoma City, OK 73132. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to MD Anderson Cancer Center.
